Over 70% of the proceeds from this ride will be used to help 150 indigenous families in Kanha. This ride is organized in collaboration with
Nature inFocus to create awareness and raise funds for this meaningful cause. It is a 15 km ride on picturesque routes around the lakes and grasslands in the beautiful Hesaraghatta region. We'll be doing short stopovers in several interesting spots, with myriad species of birds to keep us company. After the ride, breakfast will be served in Our Native Village, an award-winning eco-resort with conservation as its key focus. If you don't have a bicycle you can rent one from us, we'll transport it to the location for you.
The Forgotten People of Kanha
We are all deeply proud of the efforts to save the Royal Bengal Tiger from the brink of extinction. But often forgotten are the sacrifices behind this conservation success story. The people of Kanha, who belong to the Gond and Baiga tribes, were sacrificed and relocated for the conservation of this iconic felid. Find out how a not-for-profit organisation is working to empower these forgotten communities.
Earth Focus
Vipul Gupta founded Earth Focus to create a Kanha landscape where people and nature thrive together. The organisation aims to restore ecosystems and create sustainable livelihoods for the forest-dwelling communities of Kanha by providing education and creating nature-based livelihoods.
