Good Old Nandi is on my list of favourite rides. This ride is undoubtedly challenging, but is compensated for by the exhilaration of navigating a mostly off -road mud and gravel route and a countryside of show stopping beauty. Fields of marigolds, chrysanthemums, and roses, pomegranates, mango orchards, and vineyards, millets and other crops, and serene lakes with cormorants, cranes, and ducks among others, all surrounded by rolling hills and the Nandi. The bonus - the landscape changes with the seasons and offers a surprise each time. The terrain changes too! Plus, the PiT team lays on a fabulous picnic breakfast of local fare, replete with a choice of tea and filter coffee. The Good Old Nandi is a ride worth experiencing for all this and more, not least because it could show one something about oneself!
